Luke Engleback founded Studio Engleback in 1996 and is an expert on climate change adaptation.
Luke wanted to become a landscape architect from an early age and all his projects consider climate change as well as local character.
He describes landscape architecture as the “green glue” that holds development schemes together.
He says: “There is a really important role for landscape architecture to help save the planet – it is not too strong to say that.
“We have the science background in terms of plants and the physical geography. We are good on the design side and think about the meaning of things. We have to deal with people and design for people but equally look at the function.
“We are the green glue. We hold the thing together. We are the base where we can do things that actually benefit a variety of other professions involved in the big schemes.”
