Work while you learn

Many students find that it helps with their studies as well as with their finances if they can work for landscape or multidisciplinary companies or local government landscape departments part time or in the holidays and gain some hands-on experience.

Most organisations are keen to look out for potential future employees and want to help support the next generation of landscape architects. Talk to your course tutor about opportunities in your area, join the LI and make full use of the networking opportunities provided by the Institute and don’t be afraid to approach companies direct about potential opportunities.

For a full list of landscape architecture companies, visit the Landscape Institute website.
