Special circumstances

Government and universities often make grants available to help with particular circumstances, for example for those who have children, adult dependents or a disability.

Many of these grants are administered by the university themselves, so please contact their registrar for more information.

Some people are entitled to Disabled Student's Allowance (DSA), please see the Direct Gov website for more information.

Universities can also make additional non repayable grants from the Access to Learning Fund for those who are experiencing particular hardship.
